Different results from playing vs simming games?

So my normal play style is GM/Head Coach. I simulate games in the regular season and then play playoff games, its fun to watch the games play out and add some suspense. Does this affect the outcome...

Season Review Glitch/Graphical Error

Historical mode, international draftees can't be signed. Whenever I go to offer them a contract it tells me "this player is not permitted to sign with a foreign team" I just completed the 1983 draft...
