I think that is because the second major league (Major American League) is still in this save. Deleting it before you advance a day should fix this, I believe.

I can confirm this works, although is a bit of a pain since you have to do it for every new league. I used the freeware iExplorer since Iphone Browser is no longer working.

Good to hear. I would really like and make use of a shop around feature. I'm hesitant to make trades right now because of how tedious it is to search for players that the AI would be willing to trade.
