In OOTP 25 is this the only way to move players off the 40 man roster? Do they go to AAA team or released or does Ai let other team pick them up?

Thanks. I reset the default concerning modifiers and it solved the problem. In all the years I've played the game I've never had this happen before, but thanks for pointing me in the right direction.
