I think it could be a combination... The early drafts are so overrated and players are rated so good that a 5th could be equivalent to a late 1st/2nd because I'm pretty sure the game uses the draft...

Windowed Mode

No matter what resolution I set in the settings in-game I am stuck with FHM being full screen, not windowed.

NHL Attendance / Ticket Prices

NHL teams have attendance issues after a few seasons into the game, and I think it has to do with higher ticket prices for "smaller" market teams.
