I don't really dread it, mainly because every time it comes out I update the ratings for every player in the org by hand in a spreadsheet, so I see ALL the ups and downs. They really do balance out.

I believe the game is saying that's how good of a 2B he is (in your example), not how good he is across all positions. What you're looking for is (I think) in the game already if you have overalls...
