After a few tests, I have discovered that as long as i run sims while logged in the roster sticks, but as soon as a simulation is run while I am logged out the AI takes over control of my roster.

Perfect pitchers, especially the selected best ones, usually keep the score very low against perfect linups, and have no problem...
