One simple question - can you turn off the overall/potential ratings?

I usually play stats only in OOTP but it is difficult to do in a hockey game. I understand the need to use ratings, but I don't want too much information about players, especially potential wise. ...

Is there a way to set the maximum salary a player can get? I see that the minimum player salary can be changed, but I don't see an option for a maximum.
