Drop down menus completely blank

With the new update, my dropdown boxes (Top of the screen, MAIN, MLB, PLAY, etc. The places you would find standings, transactions, league setup and the such) are all blank.

Removing sound files

Is there a way to remove some of the in-game sounds, I play in the deadball era so the walkup music is a bit out of place. Also I am sick of hearing the foul ball dialog twice a game.

Thanks for the replies. My schedule never goes past 12/31 no matter how long I make the season. But now I know it's possible I'll give it another try. I'm probably missing some setting.

I'm curious if there's anyway to edit injuries. I bought the 1989 season to play out Ken Griffey Jrs rookie year and he's gone down for 10 months and kinda ruined the whole thing for me.
