Seems like it has to do with the way it handles the tgz file. I was able to extract the tar without an issue. And another add on which is a zip file worked correctly.

My guess would be it just lets you know of certain changes that have always happened under the hood. Regardless getting the e-mail was awesome and adds a really nice touch.

I can see this working. You can allow the fictional league to trade with other leagues or to allow it to buy players for a certain amount. I am also thinking maybe messing with the league reputation...

I usually always check their stats before deciding to promote/demote them. For some reason I have had guys batting .300 plus and an OBP above .400 and the AI still wants them at a lower level.
