When you DL the new file what is included? Is it just .dat files and a settings folder?
How many sims has this happened for? Just one, the last 5, etc.?
Has your commissioner built a new league...

I have run into problems like this also.
Have you copied your .dat files and settings folder to a new .lg folder that is correctly named?
Sometime having just the .dats will fix a screwy league...
