it is a beta right now, and will improve. SI has a very good reputation for fixing bugs. The "big" fix...usually always comes in February.

I started learning football about 14 years ago....due to Championship Manager...there can be some tough things to learn...run on to...get stuck in... create overlap....these are some of the things...

They improved it incredibly last year...you have total control over what you do vs. your staff. You can delegate very specific tasks, or not. You can tell you Director of youth football to look for...

Do yourself a favor and try a much newer edition...not expensive to do. If you like it, then maybe you will want to upgrade to the latest.

No, it doesn't prevent you if you want to, but the AI will NOT do the same. I do wish the leagues would require teams to sign a minimum number of real players for the reserve squads.

I suppose those though part of what I hate, is that when something is not up to snuff with OOTP IMO, people say "just pretend", where as in the FM community the developers and players themselves...

Another thing that really bothers me about FM..it does not require you to keep up with reserves. Which in the case of OOTP, would be minors.


EDIT: I mean why not just sell of all of my reserve...
