How do use this to head straight to qualifiers and round robin for 2020?

I load save and I have to progress through the rest of the season. Is that the way it is or am I missing something?

Play-off roster eligibility question.

I thought anyone on the 40 man as of August 31st was eligible for the playoff roster. Am I wrong? Is the game wrong? I cant select anyone from my 40 man not on my season ending active roster.
