Definitely this! It should be an option for uniforms. The pants down to the shoes just doesn't work for people who prefer a more classic look.

Unfortunately, I don't know the answer to that question, but I think providing a toggle option for either displaying the little pawns or a circle with the player's uniform # and the team's uniform...
