I could be wrong, but I think pitchers build up abuse points in OOTP, so there is a benefit to limiting pitches and innings.

I don't have spring training to reduce the amount of potential injuries to players. Same reason I don't use minor leagues. Players still develop so I am ok playing this way.

There is a guy on youtube that says height helps somewhat, and I've seen in my saves taller 1B tend to have better ratings. I've never done a deep dive myself, just what I've seen and read.

Agree with range generally. Arm is also good for 3rd and RF, and height for 1B. Up the middle would be the most important, so rangey players there will be a huge help.

This happens to me also when I create a league in a nation that is rated 4 stars or less, they become a 5 star nation. I just edit it back down to what they were before.

They still develop, they just aren't playing games. I think you might be able to set up a tournament (similar to the arizona fall league) but not sure if they would need to be in rookie ball for that...
