Historical Players in Career Mode are all unmotivated

This picture is for the 1991 Cardinals. But the entire league is unmotivated. Not just 1991 but in 1992 also so I assume this goes for all seasons. I chose Career Mode, by the way.

I keep getting games where a fictional player hits over 90 home runs. I just simmed a fictional league 10 years from 1962/1972 and i had a player hit 95 home runs. His power was above 100.
