Okay thank you. Someone also said I can do this by increasing the points and using the points to increase budget. But I guess it's easier to just edit budgets directly.

Hmmm okay. When I used custom, the same way you do, except with 8 per conference instead of 14, I find it just puts all 8 (i.e. 16 of 16 teams) in the playoffs.

Not sure if this counts as short, but I don't understand the custom playoff formats. I have an 8 team x 2 = 16 team league and I want just top 4 per division, with finals between 2 division winners....
