I haven't replied lately on this but I wasn't able to get Facegen to work either. For me using Fedora 9, & I tried it on Ubuntu 8.04 as well, normal mode doesn't give me anything, troubleshooting...

I usually end up renaming the photos folder to photos1 to keep that from happening when I'm playing with only fictional players coming in. Then rename it back and delete the empty folder if you need...
