I think for next year, if possible, that updates shouldn't be required on Steam. The hotfix's wouldn't be so bad if we weren't required to download the patches until we knew they were functional.

I would like to state that I am having the same issue, although weirdly it is only for trades. When a player is traded he never gets assigned to a team. Free agency, he does.

Note on this, it appears to happen only in trades. When players get signed in fre agency they get assigned no problems. But after a trade, they go ten days without being assigned then released.
