The player in the screenshots is a real player. Real players already had good splits in OOTP 25. The problem was with fictional players.

If the import process is adding more split to real players,...

I'm seeing it too, but I'm still 2-3 weeks away from the start of the rookie leagues, so I'm not sure if they will replenish. This started happening with patch .88 and was not happening before that.

It sounds like you would enjoy having feeder leagues. Calibrating feeder leagues takes some work, but it is 100% worth it if you care about seeing more randomness in prospect development paths.
