I know you can't trade recently drafted players, but is there a way to make it so you can't trade recently drafted (or even recently acquired) players for say, three years?

I'd like to make a rule...

A few weeks ago someone posted about a pitcher on their staff and it turned out their team was 153-9, so I'd imagine it's somehow possible in-game, but I doubt it in real life.

Where do the MLB player ratings come from?

Title says it. How are the ratings for MLB players determined? Is there some sort of database the game pulls from? Are they calculated based on stats, and therefore always behind actual real life...

I don't think anybody has ever, or will ever, buy OOTP because of the visual product, which is just fodder. That's never been the direction of the company and I hope (and would bet) it never will be.
