Player of the Week

Bobby Navejas was on fire this past week earning him his second player of the week award.

He went 10 for 16 with a HR, 2B, Walk, and 2 stolen bags. He scored and batted in 6 runs.

Sunday, April 13th end of Week 2

All teams have decisions in both their Win and Loss columns as the Freedom won on Saturday and Sunday and are now 2-4.

Week 2, Saturday Night

I sat in on the reigning LP Champs, Traverse City Bears at Ann Arbor Barn Owls and was treated to a game that was as exciting as it was close. This one was decided in the final inning with two outs.

State Championship Game 5 Box Score through 3 innings

Both teams had runners at the corners in the first, but McCarter picked off Williams at first base with 2 out, and then the White Pines bounced into a 3-6-3 DP to end the bottom half of the first.

Antonio Duarte is working on a 1 hit shutout for the White Pines. He also appears to be a bit fatigued. The Bears hit the ball hard in the 7th, but right at the Paradise fielders. We'll see how...
