Is there a way to expand the league beyond 36 teams?

So I start with a 30 team league and expand by 2 teams for 3 years in a row and then the option isnt available anymore. Is there a file tweak or something I can do to make it so i can expand a few...

Editing player names and ratings???

I just got the game and I can't figure out how to edit a players name so i can create my own players....i click on the edit players but nothing happens.....any suggestions or specific method to do...
