Importing Historical Teams
The teams are importing, but none of the players are. Unless I'm doing something wrong.
|
I had 1871 open and tried to import the 1978 Red Sox from the Teams.csv file and got the team and 30 players (though I was concerned for a sec b/c I forgot the roster size was 15 in 1871 and half the team was on the reserve roster!).
Any details on the set-up or particular team that didn't work? I'll keep trying to replicate it. |

I created a Standard MLB league starting in the off season (Nov. 2024). I select the Master.csv file and try to select literally any historical team from any year. Everything imports except the players. I tried the Teams.csv file and that didn't work either. |
Don't you have to select the historical_database.odb file?
|
I figured it out. I have to create a custom league. That's not the end of the world. I just create a custom game using the Real World MLB setup which brings the player to the start of the 2025 MLB season anyway.
Whew, problem solved. :thumbup1: |

EDIT: Glad it sorted, and you are good to go, Dave! |
Turns out the team import working now with a Standard game too, so I dunno. As long as it work.

I had issues with it importing a team into a historical start. I was importing 1872 Brooklyn into my 1871 league to even out the teams and there were no players on import. My plan was to delete the players anyway as I just wanted the team there, but I did see the issue.

This is a guess on my part, but I was used to selecting the Master.csv file to import teams. However this now is the wrong database. After I did it once the game kinda got stuck on that wrong file regardless of what else I chose. I reloaded the saves, selected the correct data base, and it worked fine.
