Front Office Football 9 and OOTP

I thought that OOTP Developments was discussing creating an American Football game a few years ago and that they were discussing a merge with FOF. What ever happened to this process?

The new FOF 9 GUI looks horrible. To bad they are not affiliated with OOTP :(

It fell apart, and OOTP has basically given up trying to develop an American Football game.
