Couple questions about FHM 9, last iteration I had was FHM 6

Hey There,

I have a few questions about FHM 9 and before I buy I wanted to know a couple of details if they're different than FHM 6.

1. Are player progressions more random, or is it the same guys over and over constantly good.
2. Doing a retro league say for the year 2000, can I choose to exclude a few teams and have their orgs go to free agency?
3. In a retro league, are you forced to play the olympics or can you turn off international events?

Thank you!

1. I'm not sure
2. Yes. ANy team that gets removed in the league structure screen has tehir players automatically go to free agency.
3. Yep, you gotta let the olympics play out.

Just to clarify, you're not forced to play the Olympics, as much as they do in fact occur. You don't have to have control of a national team. Additionally, in historical play, you can either select 'recalculation' or 'FHM development' modes. If you select recalculation, the player will basically be what they were. If you select FHM, while Gretzky is still going to be awesome (he's not suddenly going to become a one-year-and-done bust, for example), many players may not be what they were--or may be better than what they were. In a historical league, I have had more than one player outplay their career stats (especially where they only got a handful of games and went on a hot streak in FHM). In that same league, Lindros never became much, while the Great One produced quite a few more goals than he did irl.
