OOTP23 (and beyond) Historical Uniform/Logo project by Silvam14 and No Pepper

Hello All, in this thread I will be posting information about the OOTP23 Historical uniform/logo project that No Pepper and I have undertaken.

We are still in the testing phase of these uniform/logo sets. Basically, No Pepper owns 99% of the deadball whereas I took from current day backwards and we met somewhere in the middle. We had a decent tracker so that we didn't overlap.

As part of my testing I am going backwards from 2021, each season, checking each teams Home and Away uniforms to make sure they are accurate. I have decided as I do this to make smaller packs of decades which will include all logos, pants, jerseys, and ballcaps that were used for that time period. I feel this will be a benefit to those who only play certain time periods or certain season will keep the download sizes and file creep to a minimum. Once all of the seasons have been tested, a full pack will be released.

Again, here is what will be included in the overall pack: (version 1)

Wow! What a monumental task. It's so impressive for you (Silva & No Pepper) to take this on, and actually completing it! We all appreciate this great effort and will be downloading the heck out of all the updates :laugh::thumbup:

I happened to have already set up a 1994 season which has progressed into May and I decided to use the new logos, ballcaps, jerseys, and pants from silvam14's 1990-1999 batch. I reset all the teams for the new look. I only found four minor issues with the 1990-1999 group so far:
1. No logos are available for the Atlanta Braves.
2. No logos are available for the Colorado Rockies.
3. No ballcaps are available for the Florida Marlins.
4. No ballcaps are available for the Montreal Expos.
I used silvam14s old logos and ballcaps for the missing and decided to test a game using custom camera angles very close to the player model to see how silvam14s new duds look and play in a manual game. I have the 1994 Los Angeles Dodgers at the Colorado Rockies for view on Youtube. See for yourself:

I loved silvam14's old set of historical uniforms but this new and improved set is even better! Here are just a few of things I already noticed:
1. The old set sometimes had problems with sleeve logos being too large or too low on the sleeve. Check the left sleeve logo of the Rockies. It looks properly placed and sized.
2. The old set sometimes had problems with front uniform appearance. For example the old Blue Jays had the Blue Jay logo repeating a couple of times lower on the front jersey. Now notice the red front jersey numbers of the Dodgers. The old set not only did not have the front red numbers of the Dodgers but the new set has the numbers placed so they do not repeat lower on the front jersey.
3. The historical pants look great! Check out how neat the Rockies pinstripes look. Now we finally get historical pants which fit the subtle shades of historical home and away jerseys.

Anyway, my first test of the new logos, ballcaps, jerseys, and pants results in a grade of A+.

I next downloaded the 2010-21 batch. I did happen to have the current teams projecting into next season's (2023) Game Seven of the World Series and so I decided to give the two teams for that game silvam14's 2021 logos, ballcaps, jerseys, and pants. You might be surprised who I have as next year's WS teams, but here is Game Seven on YouTube with both teams using silvam14's 2021 uniforms from the 2010-21 batch:

I was able to use the 2010-21 pack for all 2021 teams with one minor issue:
1. No logos are available for the Colorado Rockies.

Obviously if I put 2021 silvam14 uniforms on all current teams there would be a question with the modern Guardians (but I can have Cleveland in 2021 Indians gear from the set). Since I really like the detailing of silvam14's uniforms compared to the default duds, I wonder if the 2022 Guardians logos, ballcaps, jerseys, and pants could be added to the 2010-21 set? I think potentially adding silvam14's version of the 2022 Guardians to the 2010-21 set would be neat to have especially for those who prefer silvam14s uniforms but want to project their historical leagues into 2022 (with the Cleveland nickname change) and beyond.

As I mentioned in my first post, this version doesn't have those yet. I am waiting for the naming convention to be decided on by the OOTP devs before I delve into that category
