National Baseball Union -- Charlotte Copperheads
Welp, seem the fantasy leagues need more love.
Lets hope this goes well enough. ------------------------ National Baseball Union Formed Jan 1, 1900 Professional Baseball has struggled to get a foothold, but today's announcement does much to establish baseball on a firm footing. The National Baseball Union (NBU) is sixteen teams, along with a new concept of "Minor league" teams. These teams come from various pro-baseball leagues, with the sixteen most healthy (or at least, the 16 with the owners with the deepest pockets) forming the top level. The National Union has two 4 team divisions, the North and South. The North consists of The Brooklyn Gray Sox Philadelphia Black Aces Providence Navigators Cleveland Canaries The South consists of Atlanta Peach Kings Baltimore Commodores Charlotte Copperheads Louisville Zips The American Union has two divisions, the East and West The East consists of Boston Whalers Chicago Railhawks Detroit Bluebirds New York Titans The West consists of Kansas City Braves Milwaukee Hops Pittsburgh Scarlet Knights Cincinnati River Kings ------------------------------ For now, it will focus on the Charlotte Copperheads, where I am the GM, and I have photos of the owner doing bad things so I can't be fired. |

1900 Season - 10 games in and the copperheads are already 3 games behind, much of it do to abysmal pitching.
So the first major trade takes place. Charlotte gets a stack of cash, a 23 year old SP, and two throw away prospects in the minors, at the cost of a 39 year old SP who didn't earn a spot and a AAA 3rd baseman who was in his 30s. I rather go with youth who might improve then older guys who proven that they are not quite up to snuff. |
Great : a game on linux :)
