The Fictional World Baseball Federation Has Openings!

We have just started the 2022 season, our 10th season of existence. Most online leagues fizzle out after a season or two, but not the WBF! We've been going strong without a hiccup, and now is an exciting time to get involved! Want to take over a franchise that has never made the playoffs in almost a decade? Or maybe you are looking for a team that has had success, but never been able to win the coveted WBF Championship? Put your stamp on an organization and be a part of history.

The league consists of 4 separate leagues each based in it's own nation (USA, Japan, Canada, and Cuba). There are 8 teams in each league with no interleague play.

The WBF operates under a salary cap and has the ultimate goal of creating parity and an equal opportunity for all GM's to field a winning team.

National Winners from their home leagues face off in the WBF association playoffs to crown the ultimate WBF Champion!

Some great opportunities to get involved with the WBF, as we have a few teams open due to GM's leaving because they no longer have time to play OOTP.

Edmonton has been snapped up.

Guantanamo has some solid players, but needs an attentive GM to add some depth and get people performing to the best of their abilities.

Bayamo is more of a rebuilding project, but they do have 3 young pitchers that will be a great foundation. Their hitting is definitely their weak spot and will need some attention.

Kobe actually finished 1st in Japan this regular season, but failed to take home the National Championship and progress to the WBF Semifinals. They have more overall talent, but are in poor financial shape and need someone to get the books in order moving forward.

Bayamo has been taken.

Guantanamo, Kobe, and Baltimore are in the market for a new GM.

Bump. We have 4 unique franchises to choose from. We are just about to start our 2020 season, and the league has never been more active! This off-season there was a flurry of deals as teams tried to position themselves for a run at world domination.

This league is the ultimate challenge in OOTP skill. Not only do you have to make it out of your nation, but to win the WBF Championships you have to win a 2 round playoff vs the other national champions.

We are still going strong in our 9th season of existence. It's getting to an exciting time as some of the WBF greats are in the twilight of their careers. Some are declining, and some are still dominating, establishing themselves as the best the WBF has witnessed.

Edmonton is snapped up, and I'm very excited our newest owners are all great people to have in the league.

Our current opportunities:

After winning the USA Championship in 20013, the Boston Revolution, made the playoffs the next two years, but have since had a 5 year post-season drought. With a top pick likely coming up in next year's draft, can you build the foundation for a return to the promised land? They also have a LOT of cap space to work with.

The Osaka Ronin made the post-season in 5 of the first 6 years of the league's existence, but they have never won the Japan Championship - stymied in those early years by the Kurashiki Cherry Blossoms. The Ronin are in a position to either rebuild for the future, or make a run at the post-season. They have some nice pitching pieces in place already.

The Guantanamo Menowar also had a run of success from 2015-2018, but those are the only 4 seasons they have reached the post-season, failing to win a Cuban Championship in any of those years. They have the 2nd ranked minor league system in Cuba, and have historically had one of the most dominant bullpens in the WBF.
