crash after June 30 of the 2021-22 season
 

As the game tries to progress to July 1 of the following season and save, the game crashes. Not sure why but this is the error:

Thanks. Crashing for me as well when I try to run it, we're checking further now.

Unfortunately, it looks like this one isn't recoverable - one of the critical files is corrupted to the point where it's not possible to restore it, and the backup versions in the rolling save folders have the same problem.

There is one "nuclear option" you can try, but it'll have some unpleasant side effects: delete the tournaments.dat file from your save. That will avoid the crash, but at the cost of losing all future international tournaments, the Memorial Cup, and the Champions Hockey League. I also suspect it may lead to more stability problems in the long run. But if you want to continue the game and don't care about that other stuff, it's worth a shot.
