20 Team League.. & We call it the IHA

Presenting ...........
ICE HOCKEY ASSOCIATION This is a relaunch of a former league of 16 teams which had no history nor junior league. But the old one is still useful in respect to learning about the league and players, so please take a look http://www.ootpdevelopments.com/boar...ry-player.html Why Re-done? I had made 16 teams on FHM14, and I just jumped right into remaking it into FHM2. Running some tests, I realized that having a junior league was perhaps best for the draft, & I began to regret not having a team in Vancouver - New York - and somewhat Seattle.... So I decided, despite the time-consuming editing that it would take to redo the whole league.... I will be happy with it in the greater future... So I did, and I decided that the league needed a built-in history as well.... so we have 20 teams, 10 American, 10 Canadian The league started in 1979, after the WHL folded no expansion, no relocation, all teams are original members Thank you for visiting my dynasty!! please comment and like anything that you feel is good information and should you visit frequently .......... don't hesitate to ask anything about the league that you are not getting .... perhaps like : "What are the last 5 results for team X ?? " OR "Who is leading the league in the Corsi rating??" tc. Anything that comes to mind and I will be happy to investigate, thanks |

Now a history lesson
Here is how the league history looks with the in-game date of September 2014 The last photo is the coaches by wins **** interestingly, the last 4 years, the 3 winners were first time winners. 2010/2011 Saskatoon Bison 2012/2013 Cleveland Snow Leopards 2013/2014 Vancouver Blazers Vancouver held the distinction of being a franchise who had won most games without winning a championship, until the last season |
Wins & titles

Here is a list based on teams' wins
The history of the league played out pretty well to my liking When I originally made these teams, I had an imaginative created history of who was the most game winning and most trophy winning franchises The history is nice, the Canadian teams dominate the top ... Sort of feel bad that the two small markets are at the very bottom, but when there is competition, somebody gotta finish last.. so if not them ,who else??? & I think I would like to have London and Laval switched in their franchise's histories... but ah well........ I think it is to bad that Quebec and Laval (Montreal) have yet won a title .... in my previous imaginative accounts... they would have some trophies ... Rochester leads all American teams with wins, New York / New Jersey have the most wins without a title between all teams (not just US), that distinction was granted only to them in this year as Vancouver held the distinction but won the very last title in this historical point. Alberta has most wins without a title for Canadian teams a title graphic will be added soon enough Grand Rapids has the most titles (ties with London) but not atop the wins list... actually as of 1979/1980 -2013/2014, they are the first team you get to with more losses than wins, and first to 1000 losses ... The red marks point out the teams' with the most losses and ties, and the italicized number indicates the lowest |
Championships by Year

Championship history:
Seattle won the first and was the first to 2 titles Grand Rapids was the first to go back-to-back B.C. was the first to 4 titles Grand Rapids was the first to 5, and has gone back-to-back twice Grand Rapids is the only team to claim a title in each of the first three full decades The 80s had 4 teams win 2 titles (Seattle, Milwaukee, Grand Rapids, Salt Lake) After 4 teams won 2 titles in the 80s, the 90s started with London winning its first and second consecutively. The 90s had 2 teams win 3 titles in the decade (London, B.C.) and 1 team winning two (Ottawa) In the last 4 rounds from 2010/2011 to 2013/2014, three teams were first time winners - Saskatoon, Cleveland, and Vancouver |
Great stuff . Looking forward to more.

Hey
Been following for a long time! Decided to finally post. Great work! I know sometimes its discouraging that there's no posts by people, but keep in mind, alot of people (myself included) silently read and stalk these threads :) That being said, I'm also from Ottawa, so I'm rooting for them! :D |

Very much appreciated !!! I don't feel like I need constant interaction (although the original one was more geared for interaction > this one will just be as it is, not going to ask for readers to vote on anything like that as I did with a helmet choice and games) , but it is very nice to know who may be the frequent visitors.... so it is good to hear from you! |
This looks great.. any chance you could release any of your leagues as quickstarts so others could play around with them too?

Some Player Ratings
I didn't really know how I should make an extended season preview. For one, I have ran many season tests, and have seen many different results, so I am very apprehensive to even try to make predictions. So the only thing to do is to display the players.... next question: so how to do that? Well, I just decided to post some top players listed by variable ratings but allowing all to see the other ratings to learn more about the talent in the league. The drawback to this method is that you do not actually see the players's teams ... Here we go.... first, goalies |
