Players: We use the most updated Spritz database that includes historical Negro League players. We've played through the Lahman database through the 2011 draft, and are now going back in time and using the random debut feature. Very interesting to see the mix of modern day players and some very old school guys.

A Legendary League
 

This league is full of very knowledgeable and experienced GM's and winning in this is not easy. Be prepared for an interesting ride with the unique Free Agent Auction and Amateur Draft phases of the league. The mini-chat also is terrific as you can communicate instantly with everyone concerning any issue you want. The GM's are very helpful to the new players (and grizzly veterans as well) and will answer any questions anyone may have. Be ready..you will have questions. :)

I highly recommend this league for one who is interested in long term ownership with some really expert owners and players.

San Francisco Giants still available and own the #2 pick in the 2020 amateur draft. Turning around this team won't be instantaneous, but it will be rewarding due to the difficulty of the division. I'd call this team a 7 out of 10 on the difficulty scale...not for the faint of heart.

Giants are still available and the Atlanta Braves have an anticipated opening as well.

This league should have a decent amount of fictional players in it by now, yes?

No. We are using a database of players from the 1880's - 1940's to include all the old players that were before the start of our league. It's purely historical in players but of course since we use a random debut the combinations of players is of course fantasy.

We have an opening for the Giants part way through the 2020 season.

Giants and Braves available as our playoffs are about to end.

Athletics available as we start the 2021 season. The A's have arguably the best starting pitching in the league Jim Devlin and best hitter in the league Ewell Russell. They made the playoffs in 2020 and are candidates to be a powerhouse for many seasons to come. We would really like to find a good veteran owner to take this team and compete in our league.

This is my favorite OOTP online league. Very competitive. There is some great opportunities with all 3 of these franchises available (OAK, SF, ATL). OAK is in prime position to go to playoffs for many years to come. Highly recommended.
