New OOTP Patch version 9.2.13 released!

Hey guys,

we have just released another patch, version 9.2.13. It fixes a problem with the draft order screen which caused traded draft picks to disappear after viewing the screen on a certain day. If you installed 9.2.12 in the past couple of days, please use this one now! Also, the full setups include the new historical database with the 2008 season included.

Here are the full setup files, in order to apply the patch you can simply install this over your current OOTP installation:

PC full setup: http://www.ootpdevfiles.com/ootp/ootp9setup.exe
Mac full setup: http://www.ootpdevfiles.com/ootp/ootp9macinstall.zip
Linux full setup: http://www.ootpdevfiles.com/ootp/oot...install.tar.gz

Here are the executable files, in case you do not want to download the full install, we do however suggest using the full setup if you plan on replaying the 2008 season from the database. Please extract the files to your OOTP 9 program folder, for example C:\Program Files\Out of the Park Developments\OOTP 9.

PC (XP/Vista): http://www.ootpdevfiles.com/ootp/ootp9.zip
PC (Win 98/2000): http://www.ootpdevfiles.com/ootp/ootp9_pre_XP.zip
Mac: http://www.ootpdevfiles.com/ootp/OOTP9.app.zip
Linux: http://www.ootpdevfiles.com/ootp/ootp9linux.tar.gz

For those of you who downloaded just the executables and want to use the updated english.xml, which is included in the full installer, download it here:
http://www.ootpdevfiles.com/ootp/ootp_text.zip

This is definitely the final patch for OOTP 9. Unless something major happens again :o

Enjoy!
Markus

Thanks for the final final final patch:). Since it will be asked I will ask it right now. Does this patch fix any other bugs. I'm not sure what bugs I just know this will be asked especially since that has been a big discussion lately.

No, just the draft order screen related problems. And, as stated, the full setup contains the new historical database :)

Thanks Markus!

I can't open the Mac app file. When I download it, I get "OOTP9.app.zip". Opening that, I get "OOTP9.app.zip.cpgz", opening that, I get the first file again, and so on.
:o

edit: I'm running Mac OS X 10.5.6 on a MacBook, FWIW.

It was also mentioned that the free agent compensation was screwed up in the last patch, was that the case and is it fixed?

I get cranky (I've been called the Cranky Yankee here), but in the future I will try to remind myself of times like this that such a response and extra effort was made in good faith to the community. I will remember how this contrasts with my often bitter experience elsewhere in the realm of computer hardware and software. I will also accept the fact that these forums are not monitored all the time by one of you, much as I thought they would be (and still think they should be, IMHO). So, thank you, Markus and crew, for taking care of this matter.

Thanks, Markus.

You really take care of your customers.

It is appreciated.

Thanks for the final final patch!:) Any chance of a real quick note on the utility player creation discussion that's been going on of late? To wit, is this working the way it was intended when it appeared in the previous final patch, and if so, how exactly DOES it work?

Well that's a fine resolution; good luck... our boy is growing up :)

Does this address the issue created in 9.2.11 of online league GMs getting a incorrect password problem when no change had been made? This was caused exclusively by 9.2.11

Please advise.

The password problem was caused well before 9.2.11. We had it in 3 online leagues around 9.23 or whatever the patch # was just prior to 9.2.10

As usual, I'm probably missing something.

But wasn't there TWO issues with that draft order page???

1) The draft picks that were traded reverted back to its original team.
(Which is claimed fixed in this patch)

2) The draft order page sometimes/often got the draft order itself wrong, i.e. got the order wrong even when no trades were involved, it just sometines got the order wrong.
(This is NOT claimed fixed in this patch)

Now, I'm sure I'm wrong, so please straighten me out. Thanks. :eatpop:

Is this patch backwards compatible with 9.2.11 and 9.2.10? I really don't want to have to patch my league again. But if it's not, and other leagues I'm in do patch, then I'd have to patch the league I commish, which is on 9.2.10/9.2.11

You might've had that problem when you did, but it's only evident in the two leagues I run with 9.2.11

I'd still like a clarification from the source, please?

Whatever - it wasn't just me, it was most of the owners in the leagues. All I'm saying is it wasn't exclusive to 9.2.11.

As for the answer to your question whether or not it was addressed, see post #3 to this thread from Markus - nothing else was fixed in this patch. That's from the source.

IIRC, 9.2.11 fixed 2). 9.2.12 fixes 1).
