Ratings Change Upon Promotion?
Hi, I'm sorry if this has been answered before, but I couldn't come up with enough unusual strings to make searching for an answer reasonable.
I'm playing in 1977, using the 20-80 scale, with scouting values set to absolute. My scouting budget is 100k over the baseline (950k:850k). My head scout is outstanding/good at majors/minors. I have a 21y/o Lary Sorensen at AAA. My scout says he's 74/80, and OSA says he's 61/73. When promoted to MLB, Lary's overall rating drops to 21 (31 if I change scouting to relative to MLB). OSA agrees with the 21 rating as well. His previous scouting reports are all in the 60's or 70's. I don't understand why this is happening. His scouting reports don't change, and his individual attributes don't change. Are overall ratings always relative to the league? The only other thing I can think of is that it's due to his age/inexperience. Any help would be appreciated :) |
