When using the umbrella powerplay, which Dman is point dman? The lines say both LD RD are points and there isnt anything in the manual

The LD, although his behaviour will be affected considerably by his role.

Interesting!

A similar question: On 4 on 5 PK or 4 on 4 play. which player will takes the faceoffs, left or right, the best rated one? Also does the handedness matter e.g. should I put a left-handed player in the left slot?

Best rated. Handedness won't make a difference.

Caught my attention. I'm very new to this game (but not the genre), and assumed player roles here had an insignificant/negligible effect in the simulation. If not, shouldn't it be important to have specific roles, for a same player, independently for 5 vs 5, PP, PK, etc. (as well as individual tactics). Some tactics are difficult to understand and details like the above answer should be in the description, especially if they have a real impact. As for the manual I really like the search feature.

I assume the LD is the high man when using 1-3-1 powerplay as well?

Correct.

Would this be correct? Or are one of the wingers net front?

JeffR 06-05-2019 01:41 AM

Almost always the centre in front, except in situations where he moves to the corner/behind the net (usually to chase the puck or assist a teammate in a board battle) and someone else moves in front of the net.

Would be nice with separate roles for the PP, PK

This is confusing because I would read it as

C
LW-RD-RW
LD
