Player Happiness and Roles
 

Is there a chance that a player who dislikes his role will one day embrace it? Or is there a way to make a player more accepting of a certain role?

Possible for a few roles but unlikely - a couple of updates back we added a system that can make players shift their playing styles to more two-way/defensive-oriented ones if they reach a level where their offensive skills alone aren't good enough to keep them on a roster. If that happens, the roles they'll accept will also change. But it's a pretty rare occurrence, particularly outside the NHL. Otherwise, no, if they dislike a role it's so far outside their preferences that it won't change.

If you want to change his role you can wait until his contract expires. When you click on his demand change the role. Most likely he will say "If you want me to be a "" it will cost you more money. Give him a little extra and he will change his role. This brings up a question, though. I have seen a two-way forward with a role of power forward (set up by the AI). So, does it really matter what you set him at as long as he's happy? Unless I am digging deeper and setting up each role and controlling setting up the lines, the AI picks the highest number in his ratings....(it seems)
