Making Changes in Historical Sims
 
So, I've been playing through in a historical MLB sim, and I tried moving a couple of teams. However, I noticed that they end up switching back to where they normally would be the next season. Is there any way to prevent that?

Someone may have to correct this, but I'll try. I think you have to do this in the off-season AND make sure automatic expansion is un-checked. You'll have to tell the AI yourself when you want expansion to occur in the appropriate years. And, don't change any ID numbers of the teams - name and abbreviations are ok to change.

Correct uncheck League expansion
