Not sure what could come of a podcast, but it's better than not having a podcast, right?
|
Thanks Rich! :)
|
i love podcasts!
|
Just listened to the POD cast and have to say it accomplished one thing with me.
I have always been a solo player that plays modern MLB, historical, and random debut. When Perfect Team first came out i did not think it was my cup of tea, but after listening to the POD cast I have been convinced to try Perfect Team. Thanks. |
Nice podcast.

OOTP Now - Episode 2 now available!
Hi everyone! Our second episode is now available!
This power-packed episode features two great segments. Up first, an in-depth interview with Out of the Park Developments CEO and Lead Designer Markus Heinsohn, talking about why and how the new Perfect Team mode in Out of the Park Baseball 19 is such an important moment in the company's history. Next, OOTP Head of Community T.J. Lauerman and Perfect Team Community Manager Kris Jardine talk about the incredible first full week of Perfect Team - and make a couple of special announcements that you will not want to miss! Your host throughout is me, Out of the Park Developments Chief Marketing Officer Rich Grisham. The podcast has been officially submitted to iTunes, Google Play, and Spotify, and we hope to hear back from all of them very soon that they are live on those services. In the meantime, you can check it out right here (along with episode 1 if you missed it): http://ootpnow.libsyn.com/ Thanks - and let us know what you think! |
Great, another podcast to add to my ever growing list!
Subscribed on Castbox, I will give it a listen. |
Will the podcasts eventually venture into talk about OOTP itself, or is this something which was created mainly for Perfect Team?
|
They will hit on everything for sure! They tend to be more Perfect Team-focused right now because the mode is new and there are lots of new players asking about it. But as we get closer to OOTP 20 there will be lots of discussions about that, as well as FHM and anything else we have cooking. :)

I can't imagine why some people are concerned that Perfect Team is going to become the focus of OOTP development. |

As an old school/throw back OOTP player, I am very worried. |
As far as Markus leaving OOTPB behind and concentrating on Perfect Team, he is just like you and he is just like me... bottom line, you do what is best for you... bottom line, I do what is best my me.
Life is not fair, my friends. If OOTPB is left behind, which I don't think it will be, I still have OOTP19 to play... that is fine with me... it is a great game... and I will be eternally grateful to Markus for creating such a marvelous game. BOTTOM LINE, Markus will do what is best for him. I think he will work on both games. I hope he makes a lot of money with Perfect Team and uses some of it to "perfect" OOTPB. |

It's January; we're months from the release of OOTP 20 and many, many months removed from OOTP 19. Perfect Team is the easiest thing to talk about on the show right now because it's living and breathing every day. And people keep asking us to talk about it! |
Quote:
LOL. watching EA almost completely ignore franchise mode after the introduction of MUT, I'll admit to being a little concerned. |
I'm a OOTP lifer no matter what.
|
Thanks Rich...
Really enjoying OOTP Now on my commute. Great stuff, particularly enjoyed the interview with Markus on an earlier podcast.
Thanks again! :) |
We appreciate the kind words! And, I promise we will be giving all the modes proper love. You'll see for yourselves soon enough in OOTP 20. :)

I feel the same frustration trying to set up an online game as I do trying to teach my dad how to use his new computer. |

I really hope you guys have some great things in works for 20. MLB the Show is becoming a complete joke with it's laser focus on Diamond Dynasty and it's refusal to upgrade player models. I urge you guys to strike while the iron is hot and not become too enamored with your version of Diamond Dynasty. Real baseball fans are grumbling. If you guys can make a big splash this year, I think you can add a significant amount of customers/gamers who have had it with MLB the show. |

I wonder if maybe ya could do 2 podcasts. One to focus on just perfect team and the other to focus on different topics in ootp. There just seems to be way too much coverage of pt. I get that its new but the game is great in other areas as well.
|
That's a fair comment! We definitely do focus on Perfect Team a lot these days, but I welcome feedback on other topics that you would like us to cover.
In the past few weeks, we did our 2019 MLB Season predictions, as well as chatted baseball in general with Paul Sporer from FanGraphs. So we're mixing it up as much as we can think of. If you have a specific topic, let me know and we'll address it! |
