Using OOTPmods.com
 

I will update this post as our explanations and process gets better defined

If you want to to use OOTPMODS.com in OOTP, open the Add-Ons Central (game menu or entry screen),

click on "Add a Server" (bottom right)

and enter, "http://ootphub.com/mods/ootpmods18.xml".

Click save, and now all mods are available to install easily in the game.

**Important, after you have downloaded a mod, please click the INSTALL button next to it.


If you have a mod to submit to OOTPmods.com you can upload it using our public FTP account: (see image) then just let the staff know that you have sent in a mod by sending us an email or if the file is already hosted someplace, just send an email with the link

side note: mods for the add-ons central (in-game) and mods downloaded from the website are often packaged differently. this is for technical reasons (add-ons central) and end-user usability for website downloads.

if you have trouble with the add-ons central change ootpmods to ootphub and it works fine.

Thanks Jazzrack, I just did that to download and install the AIO mod since I couldn't find it before. Great job and yes thanks for all you've done with the new OOTPMods website.

I'm having issues trying to add ootpmods.com to the server list. I followed the steps, but when I go to save the server and add it to the list it doesn't save. Any ideas for troubleshooting?

this was an issue on my end the 20th & the morning of the 21st. but it should be fixed now.

let me know if you are still having trouble, and we'll see if we can fix it, manually if need be

also, I had an issue with permissions conflict on the ftp account (thanks questdog for letting me know). if somebody gets a minute could you upload something, anything would be fine. it's just for testing to make sure it works properly. the account should only be able to upload files, create and change directories.

I was able to get it to work. I had to run the client as an administrator. Thanks for your help.

Will the all in one mod work with 16?

Yes. It has been updated to include all the new leagues in 16.

I still can't get it to work

what part is not working?

I'm adding it in just like above and nothing appears. I added another server yesterday but this one just won't get added. I'm on a MacBook Pro retina.

I'm on a Mac and I can't add the server either.

i checked the server and it looked ok, and i don't know much about mac so i'll have to ask some guys on the beta team for help.

but while i am working on that, we can edit the addons.xml file manually

am not sure of the file structure for you guys, but i click on the open downloads folder button, then go up one directory level

open addons.xml with a text editor (equivalent to notepad) and input this line in the directed location

click save and reload the add-ons list, you should be good

and who sent me files without information even uploading a notepad document at the same time would work :flowers:

I think they are just updated versions of ootp15 quickstarts, but I have not had time to check into it

I tried this and it still isn't working - Made it look identical to the above. I'm also on a MacBook running Yosemite. Help?
