finacial impact of a release
 

say I have a guy with 3 years left on his contract, making 14 million a year, and I release him. does all the money come out of my budget at once or does it subtract 14 million off my total salaries each year until his contract would have been up? will this affect my money I have to sign free agents or the money I have to offer extensions?
