New Add Ons Central Link

I appreciate the patience and restraint most of you have shown while a new housing has been in the process of being established. While it's still likely a bit premature to address any and all questions about it, like where's the 3D stadiums or where's pstrickert's ballpark mod etc..., this is at least the start of what will be built on bit by bit and eventually become established. Once in place and all the particulars are determined, the modders should be able to upload their contributions just as they have with jazzrack's ootpmod site in the past.

For now, please add this server location http://ootpmods.allsimbaseball.com/ootp19.xml to Add Ons Central. Then the minimal number of mods there should show up for download. I believe right now- at this server site -there is only a small All in One and historical facegen pack, but more will be added over time, I'm certain.

Again, I recognize this is a small step toward the ultimate ambition, but a mountain builds a pebble at a time. Please see this as the first few stones and we'll get there. I'll attempt to keep you apprised of any updates as I'm notified or involved in them. Thanks!

Two problems:

1) When I click on the hyperlink this is what I see:
Bandwidth Limit Exceeded
The server is temporarily unable to service your request due to the site owner reaching his/her bandwidth limit. Please try again later.

Apache Server at ootpmods.allsimbaseball.com Port 80

2) When I copy and paste the link into the Add Server portion of Add-on Central, it does not go into the list.

What am I doing wrong?

It was the same for me. It doesn't work. We're almost at the All-Star break and no Mods. It's a bit... much.

Apologies. Looking into it the issue.

MrBojangles 06-09-2018 11:28 PM

Seems to be working now

John McGraw 06-10-2018 09:17 AM

I think I added the server. But what happens now?

I do not see any mods to download. Will there be added downloads that come on the list or do we need to click on the new mod server we just installed to see what's available.

Right now, when I click on the mod server I see nothing listed.

daves 06-10-2018 02:44 PM

Added historical Facegen! Thanks.

Is there a refresh list option available to you?

John McGraw 06-10-2018 03:13 PM

I clicked the reload Add-ons list.

What should I see added to that list now that I've added this new server?

When i installed the last update it put files in My Documents like it has for every other ve4rsion but i also have the same files in Program Files x86. They seem to counteract each other. Not sure which ones to delete. Took for 20 mins of trial and error to get my saved game to load. How to i fix this.

I did not delete the original server, added the one in the OP, and this is what I see after reload list:

Not certain about your question. Do you have both Steam and the standalone version?

John McGraw 06-12-2018 04:36 AM

I have the vendor version of OOTP 19. Not Steam.

I see a long list of available add-ons... but I do not know if any were added when I imported your http://ootpmods.allsimbaseball.com/ootp19.xml.

I'm most interested in historic ballparks. Will I be able to find them under your new server and where?

HardballHero 06-12-2018 04:45 AM

I've volunteered to manage the Add Ons Central Mods

If anyone has a mod they'd like to have hosted on the "http://ootpmods.allsimbaseball.com/ootp19.xml " server, then please send me a PM with a link to the mod and a description of it and I'll work on getting it up for you.

John McGraw 06-12-2018 07:48 AM

Please, historic ballpark creators, can you make your mods compatible with OOTP19, vendor version (not Steam).

Sounds weird, but I have not played the game in two weeks because I'm frustrated about not being able to use the old ballparks.

The ‘vendor’ version or standalone is exactly what I pictured. You’re probably showing all of the items at a previous server which may or may not be able to be downloaded and most are 18. The historic ballparks, if I recall correctly, in 18 work but require manual manipulation rather than an automated install. That is, at least, my recollection. You may search the topic and find an answer.

As for the current 19 server, I’m quite certain eventually the ballparks will be available but the process takes time, an individual’s time, both the file possessor and the one coordinating the transfer or relocation. I’m grateful that HardballHero has stepped up in the latter capacity.

All the historical parks from the below link work in 19. How are they not working? Are you sure your are installing them correctly? In case that is the case, Silvam has done a video on how to install them. The link is also below.
