FHM Franchise Question
 

Hi - long time OOTP player and beta tester (since ver 1). I purchased FHM 1 and 2, (actully helped a bit with FHM2 Beta) didn't buy 3 - thinking about getting 4 during the sale.

Is an FHM 5 in the works for the coming season?

I'm guilty of not keeping up with FHM so not sure if it's become an annual release (start of new season) like OOTP.

Related question: Will you be able to import a game from FHM 4 into FHM 5?

We usually try, but we're not talking an exact date yet because the game is still being built.

Very unlikely right now. We're still doing large database changes, however it's something we do want to be able to do.

If this is true, that we won't be able to import FHM4 saves into FHM5, then this news is very disappointing

It's the nature of early versions. New fields are being added to the DB. Some that weren't needed are likely being removed. When the DB makes such large changes, backwards compatibility is difficult to achieve.

Once the game matures some more, and the DBs become stable year over year, it's much easier to make importing possible.

If we could have a custom league(s) along with the NHL(either current or Historical) in the same World and have more expansion(than 36 team limit) plus a schedule editor, then I would be interested in FHM5.

I hope they can add divisions for Custom Games, I love the Custom feature, to be honest right now is my favorite part of the game.

World Templates? Contracts with Minor League Teams? Add Leagues?

Getting back to a schedule editor,I was checking the upcoming ECHL schedule and Utah plays Rapid City six straight games.
