No problems here.

Is the download updated with Halofan's 4.11.05 rosters yet?

Gambo 04-11-2005 06:29 PM

1 small problem...

I keep trying to delete the djpeg.exe files from the folders but it says they're being used by another program...tried rebooting with no success...

Any ideas?

Quick question...I downloaded the set before this latest roster update. After a few weeks, Ken Griffey Jr was traded to Colorado. The strange thing is that the transaction does not show up on Griffey's player card (history section). The transaction shows up in the league news and on the cards of the players that Cincinnati received. Any idea why this transaction doesn't show up on Griffeys card?

yes if you got the full installer, just download the update installer only.

lynchjm24 04-11-2005 08:35 PM

It seems that my issue from the other thread is actually with the installer.

I can install everything, but there is no schedule. I can create a schedule. The game keeps the proper date in the top right hand corner, but on the schedule screen where you can actually sim or play a game - it shows the date as 0/0/05, and I can see all the games but the only way to sim is from the drop down by day, week, month, etc.

Any ideas?

I downloaded the link in the first post of this thread as of this afternoon.

DanIver 04-12-2005 04:03 AM

I have the same schedule issue.

jbmagic 04-12-2005 04:33 AM

no problems with schedule here with halofan new updated roster.

did both of you guys have this problem when you dont delete any teams?

i know with halofan roster, your not suppose to delete teams on it or it will crash when you start to sim.

Yes

eriqjaffe 04-12-2005 09:20 AM

The original installer (on the first page) has whatever schedule file Halofan had with his league, which I think was the 2004 schedule. I posted a correcred 2005 schedule.dat file back on page 3 of this thread. The 4/11 full version includes the correct schedule. I just updated (like, 5 seconds ago) the updater to include the 2005 schedule, as well.

As far as djpeg not deleting, you got me. There's no reason why it should be hanging around, especially after a reboot. If you CTRL-ALT-DEL and bring up the task manager, is it an active process? Either way, djpeg sitting in those folders won't do anything to the game.

Just notice on halofan latest roster update, he does have a 2005 schedule.

It works, but its not following the real Major league schedule for this year 2005.

The one in the All-In-One is actually the schedule that was posted in the Mods forum...I don't know if that's the same one Halofan's using or not.

Le Grande Orange 04-12-2005 02:25 PM

The schedule in the Historical Schedules thread in the Mods forum does contain the correct 2005 MLB schedule (though I need to update it slightly to correct a few start times, which were unlisted when the schedule was first published on MLB's web site).

How do you mean? Games don't match up to the correct day of the week? Some matchups are incorrect while others are okay?

Two VITAL things in getting the schedules correct:

1) The "Year starts on" day of the week value has to be set to what the schedule file says, or else the days of the week won't match up to the correct date.

2) The Team ID numbers must match the ID numbers for the teams as listed in the header of the schedule file, or else the matchups will not be correct. This is especially important for 2005 because of Montreal's move to Washington. This changed several team ID numbers for the NL East teams.

The Mets, Phillies, And Nationals were the affected teams with the first version of the installer.

The updater (and the schedule.dat I posted back on page 3) should take care of those.

jbmagic 04-12-2005 02:56 PM

eriqjaffe

there a problem with your full version installer (4/9/05) because it causing problem with the schedule.

ok here what i did.

i did a clean install to be sure.

i remove mlb for 2005 from the control panel and made sure the league folder was deleted too.

then i install you new MLB 2005 full installer today. the one you said you put the 2005 schedule on it.

after i rebooted computer.

i load up ootp and pick MLB 2005 and when you goto schedule in the game you see the schedule show the date ,0/0/0 and there nothing there when you advance the days.

Even if you choose a team and look at there schedule its blank in the game. the calendar is blank

Eriqjaffe's MLB 2005 full installer and update installer didn't install the schedule.dat in the mlb 2005 for ootp 6.lg folder. Its not in the folder after you install.

That why your seeing a blank schedule and the date ,0/0/05 in the game.

jbmagic 04-12-2005 03:21 PM

Le Grande Orange

i found out the problem. see my post above.

Nothing wrong with your 2005 schedule. because the schedule.dat that halofan has on his updated 2005 roster folder is correct.he use the one you made, but use a modify one because for team ids changes for NY mets, Philly, and Washington that someone did in the mod forum. http://www.ootpdevelopments.com/boar...&postcount=525

Eriqjaffe's MLB 2005 full installer and update installer didnt install the schedule.dat. beacause its not there. that why people are getting blank schedule with date ,0/0/05. it looks like it deleted Halofan schedule.dat file

so for now just put the schedule.dat from halofan updated roster to MLB 2005 for ootp 6.lg folder and it will work fine
