Stuff that only I care about.........
All the old hockey farts hate the Hurricanes' "Storm Surge" after home wins. They can all stick it where the sun don't shine. The way the fans react and stay for the end just to participate & see what the team comes up with is why it is great. It's not showing up the other team. They don't do it until the other team leaves the ice. And it's bleeping fun.
It's no wonder hockey isn't more popular. It is led by a bunch of archaic snobs who want every one to conform into the same mold. Players aren't allowed to have any personality or individuality without some middle aged butthole calling them out for daring to have some semblance of a soul. |

Just good ole harmless fun that always offends the crusty curmudgeonly class for some reason...
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QU5onCwpEhM Here's one celebrating the arrival of Spring Training following a recent 3-1 victory over the Edmonton Oilers. |
I think this can apply to a few sports not just hockey. Always seems to have a bunch of stuffy folks upset about people having a good time. They do know that sports is entertainment right?
|
This can apply to any sport, any business, and general life pretty much any day of the week. It's too easy to get on a soap box and yell your displeasure in this day and age.
I'm just not sure where the idea came from that it was only "old" people. It's today's generation that's constantly jumping on the soap box. Us "old hockey farts" and "crusty curmudgeonly class" as we're so eloquently referred to, generally prefer being amused by the soap box crowd. :) |

I'm one of those old stuffy folks but even I don't see any problem with this if it's what aj shared a link to on YouTube. I mean, compared to the nonsense you are seeing in the NFL now after touchdowns, this was downright dignified! :)

I must be right out of the loop nowadays. Didnt even know this was a thing. Or that anyone in the US knows who Don Cherry is (dont thry have their own former Bruin bonehead that is the destroyer of teams?)

I can't get over this guy having the nerve to call someone else out on being dignified. The man's suits are so loud, you have to wear earplugs just to look at him. He looks like a cross between a pimp & a garden gnome. Liberace would look like an Amish barn raiser next to him.

It's like bat flips or ball watching in baseball, I always say, if you don't like it, don't serve it up. Not to mention pitcher celebrations after striking someone out, same thing.

Whatever the case may be, the rant completely threw kerosene on a fire that was already burning, and ensured that all the old no fun hockey farts would come out of the woodwork to put in their :2cents: . I guess it was inevitable, and it's not like this fight hasn't happened recently in sports, but it's just getting silly if you ask me. Ugh. |

I don't get what all the fuss is about? People really get upset over this? |
These dresses are not becoming of a man in his 80s. He should wear more brown, and tweed.
I'm sorry, I have nothing to contribute on the hockey side of things. |
