Positional Strength Report
 

Does anyone have any insight to the details behind the Perfect Team Positional Strength Report? I know at a high level it's comparing my players against the other teams in my league by position and the lower the number the better you are in comparison.

Does it only look at the starter or backups also? What is the criteria used for positions like starting pitchers?

Does it only look at Overall Rating - are all Gold 89 players equal?

Thanks, have taken a hiatus for a bit but getting back in to it for OOTP 21 and have always wondered. I have used this in the past to look for high level weakness on my team.

All I noted is that it not that surprisingly differs from the card's OVR rating strictly but usually isn't all over the place in that regard...

I think it was the 96 OVR Rivera card as "Reliever" or something listed 2nd overall in the league where there were 8 or 9 by OVR better than him on my team; err, on other teams in the league.

So ...another report...for us to make sense out of best we can, I suppose?

So to answer that one question at least...no that report is not directly related to the card's OVR rating.
