Here are some fighters I've rated that I have not seen rated elsewhere. (If they have been rated, then I simply missed them among all the fighters members of this board have rated.) Researching and rating fighters, along with scrounging around for photos, is what I really enjoy. So here goes.

I understand what you mean about "scrounging around for photos". I spend more time doing that and researching fighters than I do actually playing the game.

With the internet (and YouTube) it is so easy to get lost in the world of boxing history. There isn't enough time in the day! :laugh:

Norberto Sabater
 

I have an old rating of Norberto Sabater that I've posted as Crimson has asked for a rating from John Dewey. It's not really playtested so it may need some tweaking. I also can't find a picture of Sabater.

Welcome to the world of rating fighters for TBCB. I almost never play the game myself except to test a rating. Everybody has their niche I guess. Norberto Sabater already exists in the data pool as you probably already discovered. Therefore, i won't be rating him.

Thanks for the heads up. I need to keep up with all the updates to the database that Ice Tea makes almost daily. I have a master database and another which I only use for the TBCB3 updates. The update database is current, that's really the case with the master database.

Mario Soares - LHW(3) 1997-1998

He's been rated as a Cruiserweight but most of his fights were at Light Heavyweight as he won the Brazilian LHW title in his 3rd fight and defended it 3 times before failing to capture the vacant Latino LHW title when he fought Peter Venancio in 2005. The rating may need some tweaking as it was tested only against Venancio in the game.

Anthony Andrews - MW(3) 1982-2000

Andrews is rated as a BW, WW, and MW as he was the Guyanese champion in each of those divisions during his career. He also was the SMW champion as he defeated fellow Guyanese Wayne Harris for the WBA Fedelatin crown. His MW rating as adjusted by the game as his SMW rating.

Alfie "Bullit" Andrews - SMW(0) 1988-1994

My re-rating. Interesting fighter to rate as he fought only low-level competition, never had any bout scheduled for more than 6 six rounds, won only 3 of 28 fights and was TKO'd 12 times. He was never knocked out. Although the proficiency rating has no effect in this version of Title Bout, I set him at 6 to indicate the upper limit of rounds he was likely to fight.

First Name is sometimes spelled Lonny, I've used the BoxRec spelling. I'm still testing whether the JMW rating can be used for MW fights with the game adjustment for weight class adjustments.

Danny McAloon - The Old One and the Newer One
 

John Dewey rated the newer one, who was a JMW preliminary fighter from 1991 - 1995 fighting either 4 or 6 round bouts. I have renamed him by adding JMW in parentheses after his name to keep his career record distinct from the other McAloon. The older one was also a gritty New York fighter who campaigned mostly as a welterweight from 1966 to 1981 fighting former champions such as Emile Griffith, Billy Backus and soon to be champion John Stracey. He also fought top contenders such as Jean Josselin, Roger Menetrey, Tony Licata and Dario Hidalgo. He was stopped only 4 times - all by TKO - with two coming at the tail end of his career. I looked to see if they were related and so far have come up blank.
