OOTP 2.
I remember i had to order a disc. I think i bought a season ticket one from either best buy or some store named media play or media player. Think that company was bought by best buy but im not sure. I think it was ootp4 when i first bought it online but it may have been 5. Never thought i would be still buying the game 20 years later. |

Since they first released season ticket, not sure what version it was. I remember going to eb games on the second floor of a local mall. It was in the bargain bin and I picked it up. I played it but found it a little hard at the time. Ended up playing baseball mogul a bit instead, then it happened...OOTP 6.5 was released and I have purchased everyone since.
Although I wish they still allowed the GM to get married, have kids, and draft them!! Oh and ITP is amazing. |
had season ticket (not certain which version) - played it for a few years and when that computer died i migrated to Tony Larusa. Played that for a few years as well, and then discovered OOTP 14. Been with each new season since.

Oh, the annual "who's got the longest"* thread;
First was OOTP 12, but it took me some time to get used to, and I have not bought all of them either, and to this day have never played a league in an odd-numbered version, having skipped 13 and 17, and while I have a receipt for 15, I never installed that, and then there's 19, which I use only for PT. Yeah, I know, worst guy on the forums, EVER. +++ *...unbroken string of OOTP purchases |

That's one of 4 CDs I still have. I should take a picture of the 4 I have as the others were lost due to the moves I have made since then and lost a couple |

These are the 5 CDs I got. The rest are lost

13 was officially my first, but I dropped it pretty quickly. I'm not quite sure why. I didn't get back on the horse until 16. Been on it ever since.
|
First one was Season Ticket 2003. Haven't bought the game each and every year since, but I've purchased most of them at some point along the way.
|
Since the beginning. Had every version

OOTP 6.
It's been a long and winding road. Ups and downs but the vast majority being ups. I would do it all again in a heartbeat. :thumbup1: |
Whichever version was marketed as Season Ticket Baseball.
|
I think 3 but it may have been 2. Been playing every year since and got to be a beta tester for 2007.
|
OOTP 3 and have owned every version since.

Antiques Roadshow: OOTP Edition
I'll admit to being something of an OOTP pack rat. I still have folders for every single version of OOTP I've ever purchased dating back to 2002, each one jammed packed with image files, logos, miscellaneous mods, and even OOTP exe files.
This one, for example, is the original OOTP4 exe file that I downloaded shortly after purchasing this game for the very first time back in '02. For some reason, it was in the same sub-folder that contained Killebrew's (whatever happened to that guy?) great fictional player photo mod, which was comprised of 2000 images of college players from back in 2002. In the years before Facegen, that was the mod I used most frequently. https://i.postimg.cc/gJt7j0c3/ootp4b.jpg LOL...13.2 MB. However, just an FYI for you whippersnappers out there, trying to download a 13.2 MB file back in the day using dial-up or subsonic DSL was a daunting, often frustrating task, especially if the connection was lost and you had to start all over again. |

I had Baseball Mogul back in 98 I think when it first launched for about 4 years until around 2002. I remember it getting a lot of hype when it first came onto the scene with xbox and ps2 action baseball games trying to license the engine.
i know 2002 was my last cause its on my amazon history list as a download lol then didn't touch another baseball game of any kind until 2018 with ootp 18 then 19 and awaiting 20 |
