This is an import from 19 to 20 with build 26. Another 10 year age difference. Kaiser Wilhelm. Shocked he retired in 1910 then came back and retired in 1921.

The database solved the problem by giving all the players approximately the same ratio of strikeouts to plate appearances. Since then research has been done and Baseball-Reference has strikeout totals in place that differ considerably from those in the OOTP database. many other stats as well. Never done these as I thought the Lahman covered it already.;) |
nonfortunately BBref does not keep any logs of what they update. no way to tell by looking. if you or the dragger of swamps have such info send it along and I will gladly update it in a pleasant way.

A few historical DB corrections
1) J.P. Howell has the wrong milb id attached to him Whenever I've created a mid-2000s historical league over the last few years, it always happens that howeljp01 (J.P. Howell) is attached to the wrong milb ID. It has been attached to howell001jef, which is actually a non-MLB player named Jeff Howell. howeljp01 should be attached to howell002jam. Their stats also need to be straightened out. https://www.baseball-reference.com/r...d=howell002jam https://www.baseball-reference.com/r...d=howell001jef 2) Leo Nunez nunezle01 and Juan Carlos Oviedo nunez-001leo are the same person and need to have their IDs and stats combined. Juan-Carlos Oviedo was known as "Leo Nunez" until 2011. https://www.baseball-reference.com/r...d=nunez-001leo |

Arthur Irwin (451) have one line missing in his real life stats... he played one game in 1894. In fact he played in the American Association too in 1904, but there is no stats so I guess it was some special event or something and he didn't played.
https://www.baseball-reference.com/r...d=irwin-001art Edit: Found the reason why in 1904, he was the manager of the team... which made me find an interesting article (which isn't something unknown for most people here I suppose) http://research.sabr.org/journals/lou-lewis |

I'm not sure you can do something about this but it's kind of historical database related...
When I add the Player League everything is fine and the teams don't do any transactions by themselves, but with the Union Association the teams sign free agents (even if everything is set the same way I do for the PL)... Do you have any idea why this happen? Normally they are supposed to follow the transactions database, like the ML or the PL, which they do except for the FA signatures... |

He is loaded in the game as a rookie for the 1883 seasons, so it's Bill Loughran. The fact he is loaded with Baltimore give me the hint since I use the real teams in my simulation.
I have changed his name already in my game but it's that one |
