Why does Robinson Cano have a team option in 2022 but not 2023? As far as I am aware in real life there is no team option at all.

He doesn't have any team option, as far as I can see:confused:

It's set correctly in the db. That would appear to be something the game is adding on its own for some reason. Not really sure what to do about that...

Some minor Phillies notes (I know some info just came in today, but thought I'd add it so it's seen):

1) Eliezer Alvarez is now a Texas Ranger.
2) Fernando Abad was released and is now a member of the Mets.
3) Cameron Rupp was designated for assignment for Drew Hutchison, who will break camp with the team.
4) Scott Kingery is a big leaguer and has a shiny new contract extension.
5) Vince Velasquez and Andrew Knapp should be in the majors, not Triple-A.
6) Ricardo Pinto was DFA'd to make room for Kingery.
7) The Phillies released Francisco Rodriguez and Ryan Flaherty.
8) Zach Eflin should be on the 40-man.

Lastly, I mentioned in the text thread, but John Middleton (owner) was born in 1955, not '56.

Pivetta's also likely to be in the rotation, and Hector Neris is the expected closer (as opposed to Neshek).

Latest Rangers updates

• Bartolo Colon: officially released on 3/24, although the Rangers have said they hope to bring him back on a restructured deal.

• Curt Casali: released by the Rangers on 3/21 and signed by the Rays on 3/22.

• Mike Ohlman: traded to the Red Sox for cash on 3/24

• Tim Lincecum: will open the season on the DL due to blisters with no timetable announced for when he’ll be ready. It sounds this move is to give him more time to get ready for the season since he didn’t sign until 3/7.

• Tony Barnette: will open the season on the DL due to tightness in his lower back. He hasn’t pitched in a game since 3/13, although his condition has improved enough that he was able to throw a bullpen session on 3/23.

While I really appreciate everyone being so helpful, we don't really need basic transaction updates, we have access to all of that and update things pretty well daily.

If say a week after a move happened there's been an update and it's still not reflected in-game, by all means post it in case we missed it. But for anything more recent that that, we should have it covered;)

jwisenberg 03-25-2018 09:47 PM

If you want to check that the transactions are reflected in the current roster set. Please check my site here https://minorleaguerosters.wordpress.com/.

I do work a full time job so my updates are sometimes late in the evening.I also do not post transactions until I can confirm they are official. So if you see something missing here after 24-48 hours then please post.

Where do things stand in terms of arm slots? I hate to pile on with that, and maybe you've already gone through them, but Oscar De La Cruz is listed sidearm in the game, he probably should be 3/4.

Benchmark 03-25-2018 11:41 PM

I ran across 2 players that I believe their names are wrong on the new release.

Gabriel Quintana on Boston is actually Gabriel Quintero. MLB.com article calls him Quintero and so does Sox Prospects.

Villarroel Irvin is actually Irvin Villarroel according to his MLB.com player page.

jwisenberg 03-26-2018 12:12 AM

Good catch on Quintero. As far as Irvin Villarroel, I believe that mlb.com has him listed incorrectly.

They should be 95% correct anyway, but now everyone on the 40-man rosters will be correct. I'll be checking through the minors over the next few days to try to catch and straighten out anyone else that's still off.

Benchmark 03-26-2018 01:46 PM

Here is another one who's name (I believe)is incorrect according to MLB.com player page.

Juan Calderon NYY should be Juan Carderon.

Are new signings like Isaias Ozoria going to be in the update tomorrow?

Yes.

Were adaptability, controversy, handle success, failure and critics fixed in this roster update? I started a fictional league so I am not as worried but curious. A new M's league awaits lol.

I just wanted to say, as a long time player of OOTP, this roster set (especially with this latest update today) is so well done. Thank you to everyone who contributed to this roster set looking the way it does! It's truly amazing.

Thanks!

Hearing things like that really make the hard work and long hours getting the set ready completely worth it:thumbup1::o:)
