Don't see option to convert retired players to coaches
 

One of my favorite things to do with a new team is to fire the pre-existing managers and convert some of my favorite retired players into coaches and hire them as manager, pitching coach etc.

But on my most recent two historical leagues I don't see the option when I click on the profile of retired players to make them coaches.

Anyone know why?

I am stuck with RALPH HOUK as my manager in 1962, That is unacceptable. It was unacceptable in the '60s when I was a kid, please don't abandon me to this fate now !

Help.

Never mind. I forgot to play in Commissioner mode. Now it works.

ps Houk is toast.
