2019 Debut Thread
 

With the new season having started in Japan this week, it's time for a new debut thread. I see that jwisenberg has already started cataloging players (I've moved his first two posts over from the 2017 thread, above).

New forum member jc_foto (Jeff) has agreed to post the new debuts this year. He will start with weekly summary posts, then see how it goes as the year progresses. If others are willing to help, I'm sure he would welcome it. Please remember, though, that this is not a race to be first to post. Quality matters and I will keep an eye on posts in this thread to ensure that only high-quality images are included, such as those shared by jwisenberg.

Thank you, Jeff, for taking responsibility for the debut posting. Everyone please help me welcome Jeff to the forum!

As one who has never posted a watermarked or branded image I would like to endorse the standard advocated above.

However, that does not compare to the abhorrent practice in respect of the posting of grotesquely distorted images that insult not only the subject but the professionalism of the source.

To ensure the credibility of this site I would urge those in a position of responsibility to clamp down and eliminate this deplorable practice.

Thanks to the latest posting of Duplantier's image that corrects this malpractice.

No need to go over the top with your disdain, UK. A non-distorted photo was posted within minutes, so if not for your rant I would have simply deleted the prior post. As it is, I'll remind everyone what I said at the opening of the thread:

Jeff is still hitting his stride, so let's all please give him a chance to post the debut photos in an orderly and organized fashion, as he committed to do at the start of the season.
